1. And you may ask yourself, "Well... how did I get here?" (Tell us your journey?)
I believe my diverse experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors prepared me well for Persefoni. From working on Capitol Hill and quickly learning how to navigate the rough waters while staying connected with constituents, to living a rich and diverse culture at Whole Foods, I have had a career I've enjoyed. Synchronicity and being open to new experiences is what led me to Persefoni, and I am grateful for the ingenuity that I am exposed to daily here.
2. And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile. (What do you do at Persefoni?)
I have the privilege to work closely with our CEO & Co-Founder, Kentaro Kawamori, along with the Executive Team. Kentaro is a true visionary, solution-oriented, and gifted at attracting and building talent. Persefoni is stacked with brilliant, dedicated leaders who empower teammates to act and invest like owners (which is our Operating Principle #4!).
3. And you may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?" (What are your hopes for your time at Persefoni?)
Persefoni is a globally transformative organization. My hope is that the world catches up with this organization to increase awareness and ultimately influence change. We have a lot of repairing to do to the planet, and I hope together we can make it better for generations to come. Just as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”
4. And you may say to yourself, "My God! What have I done?" (Why is Persefoni a great home for you?)
Persefoni's mission-critical, compelling dedication to building a sustainable future is what has me jumping out of bed every morning. Literally. I wholeheartedly look forward to a new day, showing up and giving my best effort to provide solutions that help advance our mission and support the team. Persefoni is where like-mindedness meets like-heartedness.
5. And you may find yourself in another part of the world... (Tell us about your life/hobbies away from work?)
On the weekends, you can find me spending time with my partner, Darryn, usually in the outdoors walking our pup, Miles (a 9-month old boxer-bulldog mix), hiking nearby trails, practicing yoga, strolling through a Farmer's market, or enjoying a new restaurant. I also like traveling and spending time with family and friends. My favorite trips are to the beach where I can snorkel and explore new foods, and immerse myself in different cultures.
