1. And you may ask yourself, "Well... how did I get here?" (Tell us your journey?)
Out of college, I worked a 10+ year stint in higher education, followed by a leap to a learning and development role at a hyper-growth SaaS company in 2015. I fell in love with technology and its amazing people and have never looked back. I hold a Master’s degree in Technology Leadership from Purdue, however, my most significant learning has happened via my parents, career, travel, getting back up after falling down, and becoming a mom.
2. And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile. (What do you do at Persefoni?)
I lead our People Ops team, and at Persefoni we have the best job, hands down. We play a key role ushering our entire team through this breathtaking, cool journey. We are part of solving some of our most interesting puzzles and play a crucial role helping define critical elements of Persefoni, like our Operating Principles.
3. And you may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?" (What are your hopes for your time at Persefoni?)
I would break this into two. For the People Ops function: to become finely tuned at balancing the leverage gained from technology and data-driven insights with intuition and heart for our people. People Ops does and will play a key role for Persefoni to realize its vision and mission. For the People Ops team: to one day walk away from this experience saying, “I cannot believe how much I loved working alongside those people, how much I learned, how much impact I had, and how we grew Persefoni together into something I will forever be proud of. What a ride.” (And my BHAG: Persefoni will land a permanent place on the global ‘how to’ map of company culture and People Ops practices.)
4. And you may say to yourself, "My God! What have I done?" (Why is Persefoni a great home for you?)
Easy: the people, the Mission, and the chance to build. This is such an important company to help build. That and I really admire the team here.
5. And you may find yourself in another part of the world... (Tell us about your life/hobbies away from work?)
I have two tiny humans who constitute my second and third-shift jobs. But when life allows it, I love to cook, travel, read, meditate, host overboard Halloween parties, nostalgically listen to late 90s grunge rock, and imbibe over long conversations with interesting folks.
