Robert G. Eccles, Renowned ESG Integration Expert, Joins Persefoni Advisory Board

Tempe, Ariz., March 30, 2021 — Persefoni, an intelligent carbon footprint management and reporting platform for enterprises and investors, today announced that Robert G. Eccles will serve on the company’s Sustainability Advisory Board. Eccles — a founding chairman of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and visiting professor at the University of Oxford’s Said Business School — is a leading global authority on corporate purpose and the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into investment decisions. He will bring practical and academic expertise to Persefoni, advising the company on creating best-in-class solutions that help enterprises and investors manage their carbon accounting, planning, reporting, internal education, and ultimately, decarbonization efforts.

Together with Kawamori and Tim Mohin — Persefoni’s Chief Sustainability Officer and the former head of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) — Eccles will help oversee the creation of Persefoni’s new Climate & Sustainability Advisory Board. The goal of the new board will be to advise the board and executive team on the integration of sustainability - specifically carbon accounting - into business and investment management.

Eccles is also a Senior Advisor to the Boston Consulting Group. He has been a Visiting Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management, and was a Berkeley Social Impact Fellow at the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley. He was a Professor at Harvard Business School, receiving tenure in 1989.
