TEMPE, AZ – August 25, 2022 – Persefoni, a leading Climate Management & Accounting Platform (CMAP) for corporations, financial institutions, and government organizations, has received verification from both TÜV Rheinland AG (headquartered in Cologne, Germany; hereinafter "TÜV") and SOCOTEC Certification Japan (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "SOCOTEC Japan") that its carbon accounting and management software complies with the GHG Protocol, an international standard for calculating and assessing corporate greenhouse gas emissions, and PCAF, an international framework for financial institutions to assess the greenhouse gas emissions of the companies in which they invest and finance.

SOCOTEC has certified that Persefoni (v2022.28.06 version) can accurately calculate GHG emissions for multiple asset classes designated as Scope 3 (Category 15) in the PCAF standard. TÜV has verified that the global version of Persefoni complies with the GHG Protocol and the ISO 14064-1 international standard for the calculation and verification of greenhouse gas emissions.

Persefoni software enables companies to calculate and manage the emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases emitted in each value chain of their business activities based on the GHG Protocol, and various other national and international calculation and assessment standards, by selecting the emissions intensity and entering the values.

The calculated emissions can be monitored for each business site and value chain, and can also be used for target management and comparison with benchmark companies. In addition, financial institutions can calculate and assess their greenhouse gas emissions based on the standards set by the PCAF and by the calculation rules defined for different forms of investment and financing.

Additionally, Persefoni (i) has adopted the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, (ii) is a member of the Cloud Security Alliance, and (iii) received clean, unqualified SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit reports. Persefoni has also been rated highly by several research and advisory firms, including Forrester and Verdantix, for our carbon financed emissions financial management and carbon accounting methodologies, verifying its ability to enable organizations’ transition pathways.

The basis for disclosing information on climate change response and considering and implementing a decarbonization plan is to accurately and precisely track your company's greenhouse gas emissions across the board, including domestic and international sites and supply chains. Therefore, Persefoni's carbon accounting software was certified through a third-party organization as compliant with international standards to calculate and manage greenhouse gas emissions.
