1. And you may ask yourself, "Well... how did I get here?" (Tell us your journey?)
My dad has always been a computer enthusiast, so I grew up sharing his same curiosity. Since I could remember, I’ve not only been playing a lot of video games (something I still enjoy) but have also dug into how computers work, installed new OS, and have updated and tested new stuff. In contrast to most people, I think I always knew what I wanted to do when I grew up, I did not want to be a fireman or an astronaut, instead, something related to computers. So, I got my degree in Information Systems Engineering, where I met Daniel Garcia (Principal FE Engineer at Persefoni). We became fiends there and a couple of years later he told me about Persefoni and I joined the team.
2. And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile. (What do you do at Persefoni?)
I’m part of the frontend team. I started working as part of the zero-commission carbon offset marketplace project, and now I’m helping with the development of different features and components related to both the web page and the product.
3. And you may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?" (What are your hopes for your time at Persefoni?)
This is the first time that I have worked doing something meaningful. The jobs that we do help make a change and has a positive impact in our world. So, I feel that being part of Persefoni is not only a way to do my bit, but also an opportunity to contribute to the growth of this project.
4. And you may say to yourself, "My God! What have I done?" (Why is Persefoni a great home for you?)
Having the opportunity of being a part of the growing process of a company that does something that matters, where I can also develop my career working with cutting-edge technologies is very rewarding by itself. In addition, at Persefoni I have found a great environment of partnership and respect where our ideas and contributions are heard.
5. And you may find yourself in another part of the world... (Tell us about your life/hobbies away from work?)
I was born and have always lived in Mendoza, Argentina. My mom’s family is from Italy so since I was a child I learned Italian. Up until today, I have spoken with my grandma in Italian (more like a mix with Sicilian dialect). Because of these traditions I have developed a taste for food and cooking. I live with my girlfriend Denu, and we love to cook together and try new/different restaurants and foods. A few years ago, I started digging in the world of sourdough and there I found not only great flavors through baking bread and pizzas but also a hobby that helps me relax. Throughout my life I have had the chance to travel to many places including throughout all of Argentina and many different countries. It is still something that I really enjoy, especially with friends.
