TEMPE, AZ - September 22, 2022 - Persefoni, a leading Climate Management & Accounting Platform (CMAP) for businesses, financial institutions, and governmental agencies, today announced it is signing on to The Climate Pledge and The Carbon Call - two leading coalitions of companies fighting climate change.

Founded in 2019, The Climate Pledge is a cross-sector community of organizations working together to address the climate crisis and solve the challenges of decarbonizing our economy through a shared commitment to both reach the Paris Agreement 10 years early and be net-zero carbon by 2040. The Carbon Call is an initiative to mobilize collective action, investment, and resources to improve the reliability and interoperability of greenhouse gas accounting.

Persefoni’s commitments to The Climate Pledge and Carbon Call signal its support for collaborative action to address the climate crisis supported by a reliable and interoperable carbon accounting system. As a leading CMAP platform, Persefoni has to date enabled its customers to calculate more than 6.5 gigatons or 7.2 billion metric tons of CO2e.

“Persefoni is purpose-built to fight climate change. Our largest impact is helping customers measure and manage their carbon footprints, '' said Persefoni SVP, Global Regulatory Climate Kristina Wyatt. “In making these commitments, Persefoni is leading by example and taking aggressive action to manage our own carbon footprint.”

“Persefoni was founded with the core values of sustainability, collaboration, impact, and equality. Today’s publication and announcement is a critical step in demonstrating how much this is a part of our DNA, and how we turn our values into action,” said Persefoni CEO and Co-Founder Kentaro Kawamori.
